Key learning outcomes
|
The aim of the programme is to provide knowledge and skills from linguistic and literary disciplines. Synchronous language status is studied in the linguistic disciplines. Russian language is studied in the context of Slavic studies and history. Interpreting and translating subjects are added in the second year of study. The aim of the study of literature is to acquire theory and to become acquainted with the historical developments in 19th and the 20th centuries.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
|
Graduates will acquire a college education comprising the fields of linguistics and literature, as well as a deeper understanding of Russian culture and society and translatological competence. They will find employment in a wide range of professional jobs, e.g. in lower management, cultural institutions, translation agencies, institutions of lifelong learning, libraries, archives, free time institutions, and the media. Graduates' practical language knowledge and communicative competence will correspond to the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Graduates are also eligible to continue in the Master's programme in which they will further develop their knowledge of the fields of theory and history of standard Russian language; Russian literature, translation and interpreting; and improve their communicative competence to C1.
