Course content
Romantik: Die Vorlesungsreihe wird sich den Autoren und Werken der deutschen Romantik zuwenden, wobei sich die Ausführungen in höheren Abstraktionsgraden bewegen werden: Es wird von der Ästhetik, der Lebens- und Kunstauffassung, den großen Motiven und beliebten Gattungen der Romantik die Rede sein, ebenfalls die romantische Philosophie wird gestreift sowie die romantische Ausprägung anderer Künste, Rezeptionsfragen und Weiterentwicklungen. Ein selbständiges Kapitel wird der Romantik aus Böhmen und Mähren gewidmet. Von den Teilnehmern wird die Vorbereitung auf jede Vorlesungsstunde erwartet (in der Gestalt von kurzen interpretatorischen Hausaufgaben). Die Vollständigkeit der abgegebenen Hausaufgaben ist die Voraussetzung zur Zulassung zur Prüfung. Die Prüfung wird in der epochenbezogenen Interpretation eines Textes, bzw. in der Diskussion dieser Interpretation bestehen.

Learning outcomes
Literature lectures focus either on individual time periods/epochs in German literature, or they may be defined as a developmental exploration of a specific genre, one or more motifs and themes, or types of figures of speech. The list of currently offered lectures including the list of reference literature and study materials is published at the beginning of each term in the syllabi of the German Department.
Students will gain insight into literature and literary criticism in selected periods as well as knowledge on topics dealt with in German language literature. A special emphasis is laid on the knowledge of the historical and cultural-historical context.
Prerequisites
The seminar is intended for all students of the Palacký University. ALL COURSES ARE TAUGHT IN GERMAN LANGUAGE!

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam

Completion requirements will be specified by individual lecturers. The series of lectures will be completed with an oral or written exam.
