Course content
Discipline structure 1. The position of a company in the economic and social system, the establishment of a lifecycle of a company 2. The objectives and functions of the company, their relationship, analysis of business phenomena 3. Capital and property business establishment, optimization criteria 4. Revenues, expenses, financial result 5. Costs modelling and the analysis of a break-even point, costing and pricing in the company 6. Organizational business establishment; procedural, organizational and economic structure 7. The analysis of the main economic activity in a company (supply, production, marketing) 8. Workforce and labour productivity 9. Investment and innovation processes 10. Financing and business development, strategy and common funding 11. The result analysis of business activities, basic categories of company efficiency 12. Business strategy and business plan

Learning outcomes

In the course, student will acquire knowledge in the following extent. Student can explain the prerequisites for optimizing business processes and the functioning of corporate economy instruments. The knowledge will be examined at the end of the course by means of the final test and colloquium.

Oral exam, Student performance

1. Attendace at seminars - min. 60% 2. Preparation and successful defending of a semestral paper (assigned in the first week) 3. Passing the final test - min. 60 points out of 100 (credit week) 4. Passing the colloquium
