Course content
|
In the first sessions of the seminar, we will learn about the theoretical basis of academic writing, spend some time reading texts on selected topics and analyzing them. Afterwards, students will be able to practice the writing itself: the exercises will consist of texts ranging from free formats to commentaries and synopses of about 100-300 words, which they will do both in class and at home.

Learning outcomes
|
The course will focus on academic writing in the Russian language. Through a variety of exercises, students will learn basic stylistic habits and improve the use of correct grammatical constructions in practice.
The ability to acquire the habits of academic writing in Russian could help students to better manage writing assignments, translations into Russian, and prepare them for writing longer academic texts, including qualifying papers or their resumes.

knowledge of Russian language at least at A2 level

Student performance, Seminar Work
Participation in the seminars (max. 2 absences), submission of all mid-term assignments and the final paper by the deadline is a condition for completing the course.
