Course content
Creative biography of A. Pushkin Non-canonical texts by Pushkin: Dubrovsky, Gavriliada, Arap Petra Velikogo, etc. The Pushkin myth in the texts of Russian and Soviet writers: building national identity The Pushkin myth in visual arts and music: building national identity Political instrumentalization of the Pushkin myth in the countries of the "Eastern Bloc"

Learning outcomes
In addition to Pushkin's creative biography and non-canonical works, the seminar will also present his significance in terms of constructing Russian cultural and national identity. Part of the seminar will also be devoted to the political instrumentalization of the Pushkin cult in the USSR and, after 1945, in the Soviet satellites in Central Europe.
Basic knowledge of the topic, key works, relevant theme areas.
Prerequisites
The B2 level in Russian is required. The course is meant for all students interested in Russian culture.
