Course content |
The seminar provides an overview of various methods of semiotic analysis, clarifies the substance of modern semiotic trends, introduces theoretical problems (theoretic semiotics) and uses specific examples of nonlinguistic sign systems (images, gestures) providing an insight into various fields of semiotics. The potential of applied semiotics is also discussed.
