The goal of the lectures given by visiting faculty is to provide students with insight into selected historical and contemporary works, primarily from Austrian and other German-language literature and culture. Example: Participation in an international conference on the topic "The Figure of the Servant in German Literature" On November 8 and 9 (Friday afternoon and Saturday morning), an international conference on the topic "The Figure of the Servant in German Literature" will take place at the Department of German Studies at Palacký University in Room 3.39. The conference will be conducted in German. It is scheduled to begin on Friday at 2:30 p.m. (until 6:00 p.m.) and will continue until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday). The conference program will consist of three sessions of three presentations each and one session of four presentations (each presentation lasting 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute discussion). The detailed conference program will be published at the beginning of the winter semester.

The goal of the lectures given by visiting professors is to provide students with insight into selected historical and contemporary works, primarily from Austrian and other German-language literature and culture.
Students will gain an overview of selected historical and contemporary forms of Austrian and other German-language literature and culture. They will be able to place the topics covered in a broader historical and cultural context, critically reflect on their significance, and discuss them in an academic setting. |
