Course content
1. - 2. Russian phonetic system. The Russian vs. Czech accent. 3. - 4. Types of reduction of Russian vowels. 5. Shortening the vowels at the end of a word. 6. Exercising the difficult phonetic elements: the soft Russian l. 7. Exercising the difficult phonetic elements: Russian sh sound. 8. Exercising the difficult phonetic elements: Russian zh sound. 9. Exercising the difficult phonetic elements: Russian tch sound. 10. Exercising the difficult phonetic elements: Russian ts sound. 11. Pronunciation of groups of consonants. 12. Pronunciation of groups of consonants.

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Excersising the phonetic features of Russian. Special attention is paid to the pronunciation of Russian consonants. The audiooral exercises are focused on fixing the correct pronunciation (we shall deal with short poems and songs). The aim of this course is to develop the production of oral speech.
Proficiency in basic elements of Russian pronunciation.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Russian, at least A1 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
