Key learning outcomes The aim of the study is to prepare experts fully qualified in the field of analytical chemistry. Students obtain theoretical knowledge and acquire practical skills in various fields of analytical chemistry, which allows them to independently develop and optimize analytical procedures. The knowledge is built on a reliable grounding of mathematics, physics and all fundamental chemical disciplines. Within the optional courses, students can further deepen their skills in the selected fields. There are available study modules associating courses that prepare students for practice, e.g. in the field of food analysis, forensic and clinical analysis and in the pharmaceutical industry. Gaining quality experimental experience by completing practical courses focused on modern analytical techniques contributes to the good employability of graduates in the labor-market, increasing their erudition and accelerating involvement in practice. The study aims at the development of the ability to think independently, to work creatively and to defend their views in professional discussion. The graduate is a university-educated specialist who meets all requirements for analytical chemists in industrial, agricultural and medical practice as well as in applied and fundamental research. The skill of interdisciplinary communication, the ability to cooperate with other experts in solving everyday problems of industrial production, analytical control, etc., as well as in solving longer-term research and development tasks are also developed. Students are prepared for both the positions of specialists and managers in analytical practice, and for further development of their expertise in further academic study.
