Course content |
Introduction to the methods of molecular spectrometry. Spectral identification - interpretation of spectra. Vibrational spectrometry - the relation between the structure and spectral bands in IR spectrum. Absorption areas of functional groups. IR and Raman spectra. Molecular vibrations and molecular symmetry. Structure, chemical shift, spin-spin interactions in NMR spectra. Interpretation of NMR spectra. Multidimensional NMR spectra and their measurement techniques. Fragmentations of main organic substances in MS. Analysis of molecular ion and its neighborhood. MS and identification of organic substances. Usage of ORD and CD spectra for identification of organic substances.
