Learning outcomes
The goal of this course is to acquaint students with the problems of clinical toxicology, the effects of drugs, illegal substances and drugs and poisons on the human organism. Students will be acquainted with the metabolism of those substances and methods of their license and identification in body fluids and the evaluation results for forensic purposes.
The student knows the basics of clinical toxicology and is able to apply its findings and conclusions in forensic investigations. It is able to communicate with other professionals cooperating in the investigation of criminal offenses.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of basics of analytical chemistry and instrumental methods of analytical chemistry is recommended.
