Learning outcomes
This class will focus on developing academic writing skills. Although the writing for this class will be all in English, general theories of academic writing will be explored and developed by the students. Students should be at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level.
Acquisition of specialised language knowledge of academic writing on the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
A minimum language level in English of level B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay

The class will be taught with a combination of lecture and large and small group discussions. Prior to each class, students are expected to read the assigned material and prepare all assignments as posted on Courseware.
