| Key learning outcomes | The aim of the master's degree programme is to equip the graduate with the basic competencies given by the profile of the graduate - teacher of the first stage of the primary school. The programme is based on the requirement for the teacher to be able to teach all subjects of the curriculum of the primary school, including foreign language teaching. The program has an interdisciplinary character and promotes integrative tendencies. The program reflects the implementation of the new content elements such as personality and social education, multicultural education, environmental education, education of a democratic citizen, education for thinking in European and global contexts, and media education. The emphasis is placed on preparing for foreign language teaching and foreign language teaching for younger school children during the whole period of study. An important part of the preparation is the pedagogical practice. |

| Occupational profiles of graduates with examples | The aim of this study is to provide primary education teachers with the theoretical and practical competencies necessary to work in their profession. The graduate will acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience that will authorize him/her to teach classes primary school classes 1 through 5, and this study will help open the door to further professional growth, including doctoral study. The graduate will to a certain extent acquire the scholarly fundamentals of all subjects taught to primary school classes 1 through 5, including foreign languages. The aim of the study is to acquire a complete university education at the master's level, and thus acquire the Mgr. degree. |
