Learning outcomes
Teaching will be conducted by combining the theoretical and practical knowledge which enables the students to develop their competencies as future teachers. The content will extend the basic knowledge and skills gained in the field of developmental psychology and abnormal psychology (issues of maturity and school readiness, examples of drawings of mature and non-mature children, possibilities of preparation for education, problems of early training, postponement of school attendance, current legislative provisions, supportive procuration for pupils with specific educational needs, current legislation, documentation, role of the coordinator for inclusion in primary and secondary school settings, mild mental disability, autism spectrum disorders, sensory defects /, possibilities of re-education, teacher's assistant functioning etc.). The additional topic will be the issue of professional orientation at elementary schools (which is not implemented in the other psychological disciplines) with a focus on the possibilities of diagnosis and psychological intervention, sharing links to websites with the possibility of various testing, etc. The selected topics will be focused on supporting pupils with special educational needs at primary schools and working with a heterogeneous class in the context of inclusion.
