Course content
|
Topics: Cross-curricular relationships in teaching English at the 1st stage of elementary school. Different variants and possibilities of CLIL method implementation at the 1st stage of elementary school. Project work in English lessons at the 1st stage of elementary school. Basic realities of English-speaking countries in teaching English at the 1st stage of primary school (geography, cultural customs, holidays). Intercultural relations in teaching English at the 1st stage of primary school.

Learning outcomes
|
This course is aimed at the basic principles of ELT methodology with the focus on teaching English to young learners. The students will learn about the main principles of the communicative approach to teaching English including project teaching by using "hands on" approach in the areas such as CLIL and intercultural themes at primary level of compulsory education.
