Key learning outcomes | The aim of the study is to provide further knowledge needed for high-quality statistical analysis of data from science, industry and social sciences, for development of mathematical models of complex systems and for solving advanced optimization tasks and problems leading to statistical processing. Because of this, the mathematical core of the curriculum of this study program is formed by advanced methods of statistical analysis, optimization methods and fuzzy sets. These disciplines are complemented by those which reflect the necessity of effective decision and practical processing of input values including the corresponding presentation of outputs (data approximation and visualization, machine learning methods). Due to the anticipated employment of graduates the compulsory elective courses contain also specific methods of statistical analysis and machine learning, following recent trends in the field. An important part of the study is also practical training experience. |
