Learning outcomes

The main aim of the course VCJ/GESA2 is to help students improve their knowledge of general English and English skills and promotes active verbal communication at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, that is at a level which enables them to study or work abroad. It can be also used as part of preparation for the Oxford Test of English.
Development and/or reinforcement of language skills on the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Prerequisites
|
A minimum language level in English of level B1+ of the Common European Framework od Referece for Languages (CEFR) is required. Students of this course are expected to have a good knowledge of basic English grammar, for example they should be able to form questions and use all tenses and comparative and superlative adjectives or adverbs, etc. To check which level of the CEFR you are currently at, we recommend that you use online tests, for example at: http://examenglish.com/leveltest/index.html

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
A student is not allowed to be absent more than twice during the semestr, must actively participate in class and use the materials which are available for this course online. The final grade is based on the result of the credit test (70% is the required minimum) and the result of the oral examination.
