| Key learning outcomes | Students gain familiarity with the detailed knowledge of organic chemistry, synthesis of organic compounds and study of their physical-chemical properties. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students gain the practical skills required for independent work in chemical laboratories. Students are able to design synthetic approaches leading to desired compounds, to solve practical issues related to their preparation, to characterize products with modern analytical methods, to predict and study compounds properties, to propose and carry out the modifications of a structure in order to enhance desired properties, etc. Therefore, the aim of this programme is to produce graduates capable of working in chemical research, where the synthesis of organic compounds is the most relevant part. |
