Course content
|
Lectures follow the fundamental course of organic chemistry, and this theme is enlarged and supplemented. New modification of older reactions like Hunsdicker reaction, Kizhner-Wolf reaction, Gabriel reaction etc. will be studied. Also new methods like formation of carbon-carbon bond Suzuki, Sonogashira and similar reactions or Heck reaction and reaction with organometal and organosilicone compounds will be mentioned. Individual chapters will be dedicated to Palladium derivative and its catalytic properties, usage of ylides in organic synthesis, application of selective oxidations, reductions and halogenations reagents and usage of enzymes for the preparation of chiral compounds. Attention will be focused on practical aspects of organic synthesis, critical conditions and differences between lab and industrial performance. Retrosynthesis and proposal of unknown compounds synthesis, construction of individual bonds, chemoselectivity, regioselectivity, stereoselectivity, synthons, protection groups will be another topic studied. The purpose of this subject is to introduce new synthetic methods to students and to teach students to use their knowledge for the synthesis of new compounds.

|
The purpose of this subject is to introduce new synthetic methods to students.
Extending of knowledge of synthetic methods, orientation in organic synthesis, to know how to propose the synthesis of unknown molecules.

To know advanced method of organic synthesis including reaction conditions. Be able to propose applicable chemical synthesis for the preparation of selected molecules.
