| Key learning outcomes | Students gain familiarity with the theoretical knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology with emphasis on biologically active compounds and their behavior on the molecular and cellular levels. Besides, they gain the practical skills required to work in chemical or clinical laboratories. Students are able to solve problems related to the preparation of new compounds and the determination of the structure-biological activity relationship, i.e. to predict and study their properties, propose and perform structural modifications to enhance biological activity, etc. Therefore, this bachelor's program aims to produce graduates capable of working in research of biologically active substances, in terms of their synthesis and study in biological matrices. |
