The study program is focused to study of modern experimental biology. Students will obtain basic information about biological, biochemical and biophysical processes at the molecular as well as cell level in plants, about their interconnectedness, connection with plant structure and about their functional importance in the frame of plant organism. The study is focused on recent knowledge concerning plant physiology, and on the possibilities of their applications, on the new approaches in gene cloning, DNA technologies, on the genetic manipulation at the molecular level in plants. The study is aimed also on the submicroscopic and biophysical methods, on immunochemical and immune-biological procedures making certain cellular structures visible, on the proteomics as well as on the agricultural and biotechnological aspects of plant biology. The study program experimental biology of plants deals with study of plant anatomy and their live processes. Basic life processes - photosynthesis, photomorphogenesis, respiration, water regime, mineral nutrition, transport of substances and energy in plant. Growth and development are study at the plant level as well as at the veles of organs, tissues, cells as well as subcellular structures, with regard to environmental factors, including stress factors. Interpretation of knowledge leads up mainly to cognizance of plants as the functional, internally coordinated unit living in two-way dynamic interaction with environment. The study goals are guaranteed by the Laboratory of growth regulators. A number of courses is guaranteed by other departments not only from Faculty of Science (department of biophysics, department of biological biology and genetics, department of botany, department of biochemistry). During the study, emphasis will be placed on the development of creative skills of students, their necessary language skills and on abilities of adequate presentation of results of their own experimental work. The graduation of master study completed by the master thesis and passing the state exam enables passage to doctoral programs at faculties of science and agriculture.
