Introduction, basic terminology, historical aspects, properties of natural compounds Derivatives of fatty acids, biosynthesis, esters, acylglycerols, phospholipids, lipoproteins, sphingolipids, glycolipids. Eicosanoids, prostaglandins, thromboxanes, leukotrienes. Terpenoids, basic terminology, monoterpenes, diterpenes, sesquiterpenes, triterpenes, sesterterpenes, tetraterpenes, polyterpenes. Steroids, basic terminology, cholestanes, calciferols, estranes, pregnanes, hormones, brassinosteroids, ecdysteroids, cardiotonic steroids, steroidal alkaloids. Polyketides, phenylpropanoids - lignans, coumarins, flavonoids, stilbenoids.
