4. - 6. unit of the textbook. Working with additional authentic texts for reading and listening comprehension. Lektion 4: SO WIRD´S GEMACHT: eine Eileitung verstehen, einen Arbeitsablauf beschreiben, sagen, dass etwas nicht funktioniert, einen Fehler melden, einen Verbesserungsvorschlag machen GRAMMATIK: Vorganspassiv und Zustandspassiv, Silben, die trennbar und untrennbar gebraucht werden Lektion 5: KÖRPER UND SEELE: über Gesundheit und Krankheit sprechen, Meinungen formulieren/abwägen/widersprechen, über Berufe im Gesundheitswesen sprechen, über Probleme im Arbeitsablauf sprechen, eine Grafik und einen Text zum Qualitätsmanagement verstehen GRAMMATIK: einige Ausdrücke mit obligatorischem "es", Verwendung von "es" (Zusammenfassung). Infinitivsätze mit "zu" Lektion 6: EINE FRAGE DES GESCHMACKS: über Essgewohnheiten sprechen, Restaurants vergleichen, Waren bestellen, entgegennehmen, reklamieren, Verhandlungsstrategien besprechen und anwenden GRAMMATIK: Nomen und Adjektive ohne Artikel, Nebensätze der Folge (Konsekutivsätze): "sodass"/"so.,dass"

Learning outcomes |
The second semester of a two-semester course in German for upper-intermediate students without focus on their major. Its aim is to improve command of German on presumed B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. All types of language skills (perceptive, productive as well as interactive) are to be developed in the classes.
Comprehensive development of all language skills - speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing. After successful completion of the whole course, the students will achieve target level of B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. |
Prerequisites |
In case of greater number of applicants than possible, the priority will be given to students with obligatory foreign language classes. Recommended language knowledge for this course: B1.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test
Credit - requirements for granting certification: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. Absence from the class is in no case a reason for being unprepared in the following seminar. If the student is not prepared, he/she can be regarded as being absent. 2. Active participation in the classes, regular home preparation, written home assignments/prescribed credit works, one obligatory presentation (MS Power Point) on individually chosen topic related to student´s major. 3. Passing so-called "regular tests" throughout the semester (passing level always 75%). Students who have not achieved given passing level shall write a comprehensive credit test in the following exam period. Warning: Students are obliged to finish every course by the end of exam period of the semester in which they enrolled for the course! |
