Course content
Thematic areas: Basic requirements for the application of Swedish massage. Effleurage, Friction, kneading - practice of individual touches. Tapotement, vibration - practice of individual touches. Principles of sequence and procedure of using individual touches. Swedish massage set for the lower limb from behind. Swedish massage set for the lower limb from the front. Swedish massage back set. A set of Swedish massages for the neck. Swedish massage set for the upper limb. Swedish massage sets for the abdomen and chest. Swedish massage sets for face and head. Indications and contraindications of Swedish massage.

Learning outcomes
Student will obtain basic practical acquirements and experience of Swedish massage. Attention is focused on perfect encompassment of single part of Swedish massage techniques and their application within the scope of single therapeutic formations - back, neck and shoulder, abdomen, chest, upper and lower limbs, heads and face formations.
Student is able to utilize gained knowledge and experience in everyday rehabilitation practice: he/she knows segement techniques of reflex massage according to Dalich & Gläser, he/she has overall theoretical survey of techniques of massages, knows mechanisms of effect of classic, sport and reflex massage.

Knowledge of anatomy of human body with special focuse on topography.

Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student

100% participation in exercises, knowledge of the practical design of touches and sets of Swedish massage
