Course content
Gynecology: Anatomical differences of the female genitalia during childhood and adolescence, examination methods in gynecology, congenital developmental defects, hormonal regulation of the body, menstrual cycle and its disorders, inflammations - general classification of inflammations. Obstetrics: Pregnancy-related changes in the woman's body, fetal development, physiological pregnancy, birth mechanism: longitudinal head presentation, operative delivery: forceps, vacuum extraction, cesarean section, physiological postpartum period.

Learning outcomes
The subject is part of a set of courses in clinical nursing. It is closely related to the course Practical Training 5. The subject builds on the student's knowledge of clinical nursing. It provides an overview of issues in gynecology and obstetrics, as well as nursing care with a focus on the gynecological field and obstetrics.
Students will be able to: use 3 N alliance in providing individualized care for women during clinical conditions and diseases associated with disorders and diseases of the reproductive organs in different age periods of life and women that interfere with health and quality of life of women use 3 N alliance in providing individualized care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and after childbirth provide care according to the latest knowledge in nursing with regard to the use of EBP apply ethical and psychological approach to the woman and her family.
Prerequisites
Students are familiar with the anatomy of the female pelvis, the female reproductive system, and physiology with a focus on the female reproductive system. They are also familiar with the nursing process.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark

Mandatory minimum 80% attendance in classes (seminars and exercises); any absence must be reported in advance to the program coordinator. The course will be completed with a written test.
