Course content
February 2015: Briefing for students who are interested in the course. Meeting with the implementation team. Lecture of R. Martinek (Textiles in catholic lithurgy). There will be also a lecture about rules of a description of heraldic relics. May 2015: Thursday-Sunday: Briefing in organizational and methodical matters, along with lecture about filling in register cards. Groups will be participating on the inventory of liturgical textiles and on taking photos. There will be also individual work, which includes searching and documentation of epigraphic and heraldic relics on the place. In the end students will, with lecturers, choose textiles and other exhibits for the exhibition. May/June 2015 - Friday: The realization of the exhibit, as a part of the Night of churches. PZ

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is teach participants how to register and to describe liturgical textiles and how to document epigraphic and heraldic relics. There will be 2 groups of 4 students - those will, along with their lecturers, make a documentation of inscriptions and heraldic relics in chosen location. The result of their work will be an exhibition, which will be a part of the Night of churches. PZ
Student will learn how to catalog paramentos and liturgical textiles, how to recognize different types of it and he/she will get practical experience with the classification of textiles. Students will also get practical experiences with the description of heraldic and epigraphic relics. PZ
Prerequisites
8 students of BA single-major or double-major history, of archive studies or of archaeology - B class. C class for others. It is better if a student has some knowledge of a heraldry, epigraphy and paleography. PZ

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Active participation on the course and on the preparation of the exhibit. Making of at least 8 register cards of liturgical textiles and at least 4 description (including photos) of epigraphic and heraldic relics. PZ
