Learning outcomes
This course is designed as a supplementary conversation class for intermediate to upper-intermediate learners of Japanese (approximately JLPT N3 level) and is taught by a native Japanese-speaking instructor. The course focuses on developing and practicing spoken Japanese, expanding students' vocabulary, improving pronunciation and intonation, and acquiring the fundamental skills needed to communicate clearly and appropriately in a variety of situations. The primary objective of the course is to develop students' ability to communicate actively in Japanese, respond appropriately in conversation, and improve their listening comprehension and interpretation of spoken Japanese. Accordingly, part of the course is based on listening activities using audio recordings.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: - communicate actively and confidently in Japanese; - respond appropriately in a range of conversational situations; - comprehend spoken Japanese and accurately interpret spoken discourse.
