Course content
This course consists of two parts: Reading Texts and Conversation. Reading Japanese texts: Focusing on reading Japanese texts published by Japan Foundation (essays / short stories written by Japanese authors, articles concerning Japanese society and culture etc.), expanding vocabulary and knowledge of characters (kanji reading strategies), practising grammar, practice of translation into Czech and linguistic analysis of written Japanese. Conversation: L17-L19 (meal/cooking, sport, animals, ZOO, etc.)The aim of the second part is to practice the ability to speak Japanese a expand vocabulary, but also to correctly interpret Japanese speech and to respond adequately the situation. The content of the course is coordinated with the course Japanese 4A.

Learning outcomes
This course consists of two parts: Reading Texts and Conversation. Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate a command of Japanese at the pre-intermediate level.

Successful completion of the courses Japanese 1 - 2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Didactic Test

70% attendance, active participation and fulfillment of assigned tasks, written test (min. 70%) and oral examination of conversation L17-L19 (70%)
