Course content
|
This course consists of two parts: Reading Texts and Conversation. Reading texts: original Japanese texts from different thematic areas and genres, Japanese texts of the JLPT N3 level, exercises Conversation: L13-L16 Content: spoken language, practicing grammatical structures, expanding vocabulary (form of narration), role-play, interviews, description of pictures and other activities, phraseology, listening Phraseology: expressions and their usage in spoken language (different situations), aizuchi Topics: description of situations using causative or causative-passive constructions, my childhood, expressing a hypothesis, giving advice, how to recommend, interview Facts: gifts, Prague, Czech Republic The content of the course is coordinated with the course Japanese 3A.

Learning outcomes
|
This course consists of two parts: Reading Texts and Conversation. The first part is focused on reading Japanese texts, expanding vocabulary and knowledge of characters (kanji reading strategies), practising grammar, practice of translation into Czech and linguistic analysis of written Japanese. The aim of the second part is to practice the ability to speak Japanese a expand vocabulary, but also to correctly interpret Japanese speech and to respond adequately the situation.
Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate a command of Japanese at the pre-intermediate level.

Prerequisites

The course is offered only for Japanese major students who have passed Japanese Language 1 and 2.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Didactic Test
70% attendance, active participation and fulfillment of assigned tasks, written test (min. 70%) and oral examination of conversation L13-L16 (70%)
