Learning outcomes
Around 320 imperial historian said Gan Bao in Chinese literature genre stories, though for personal reasons compiled a collection Quest for things supernatural (Sou Shen Ji). He did so without literary intent, and therefore without literary embellishment. His language is concise, straightforward language, similar historical comments. The collection consists of 464 "stories about strange phenomena" (zhiguai) various lengths. Due to the nature theme inadvertently captures folklore (myths, superstitions, fairy tales), which the scholars rather avoid. Gan Bao not only laid the foundation favorite genre of horror stories, but also influenced by the beginning of Buddhism and taositickou hagiography. Exercise is focused on practical translation from Chinese to Czech and is conducted so that the main emphasis on content as accurate as possible, and at the same time stylistically motivated translation. Because the Chinese and Czech languages are typologically very different, students are encouraged to solve problems, not only purely lexical: learners course is inculcated analytical view of text and within his stylistic specifics. Attestation is granted on the basis of the votes of written translations.

This exercise is aimed at deepening the practical management of translation from Chinese to Czech.
