Key learning outcomes | The aim of the study is to prepare experts in the area of bioinorganic chemistry, which is focused on compounds and chemical processes in nature where the key role is connected with the presence of mainly metal elements. The study is not only about metalloproteins, but about metal elements in diagnosis, medicine and toxicology. The study programme is focused on new trends in research and production in areas of chemistry, pharmacy and medicine. It is designated to students interested in preparation and study of biologically active compounds like cytostatic, antibacterial, antiviral etc., matters for diagnosis etc. The subjects of standard bachelors programme Chemistry are supplemented with subjects of bioinorganic chemistry, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology and drugs development. The aim is to receive knowledge for work in chemical or biochemical laboratory. |
