Course content |
Introduction. Basic terms in pathology. Necrosis, gangrene, atrophy. Derrangement of metabolism of proteins, lipids and sugars. Calcification. Pathological pigmentation. Nonspecific inflammation and specific inflammation. Pathology of the immune system. Aetiology diseases, ilustrations of bacterial, viral, mycotic and parazitic diseases. General oncology: mesenchymal tumors,epithelial tumors, neuroectodermal tumors, composite tumors, teratomas. Pseudotumors. Preneoplasia. Circulatory disorders. Irradiation diseases. Pathology of the heart and vessels. Atherosclerosis. Pathology of the respiratory tract. Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, pathology of the liver, biliary tract and pankreas. Pathology of the uropoetic tract. Pathology of the genital tract. Pathology of the central nervous system.

Learning outcomes |
Orientation of students in basic terms in the field. Providing of complex picture of diseases due to connection of interdisciplinary informations, from causation to consequences. Obtaining informations about dynamic of changes accompaning development of diseases and therapeutic principles. Introduction to morphologic correlates of organs and tissues changes, particularly to specific aspects related to the field of study.
Student will be able to apply knowledges in diagnostic-therapeutic practise. |
