Learning outcomes
The goal of the subject is explanation of biophysical principles of physiological and pathophysiological processes in human organism and explains basic action mechanisms of selected physical factors on life systems. The students become familiarized with cell biophysics, structure and properties of biological membranes, electric signs of cells, and formation and propagation of action potential. It will be explained mechanical and electrical properties of tissues, biomechanics of blood circuit, biophysics of breathing, biophysics of perception and environmental biophysics.
The students will be able to understand biophysical processes in human body and will be able to work with basic medical instrumental technique.
Prerequisites
Students ought to have fundamental biology and physics attainments at the secondary education level.
