Reading: Advertising Vocabulary: Word formation Listening: Sentence completion/Matching Unit 8: Time to waste? Learning outcomes
The objective of VCJ/AIV2 is to systematically develop the language skills of Academic English. It focuses on teaching students to orientate in scientific texts, to improve the listening and writing skills, and to extend their knowledge of academic vocabulary.
Acquisition of academic language skills on the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
Prerequisites
Students must have a minimum language level in English of level B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages. To check which level of the CEFR you are currently at, we recommend that you use online tests, for example at http://examenglish.com/leveltest/index.html

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Students are required to attend the classes although they may be absent twice per semester and they must participate in an active way. They must prepare for the classes as required by their teachers. They must successfully pass the graded exam.
