The model of the introductory excursion is designed as an entry discipline, during which the student within the studied program gains an initial insight into the profiling of possible institutions in which a special education worker can work. The aim of the discipline Introductory excursion to special facilities with reflection is to give students a basic orientation in different types of organizations providing special educational support to people with disabilities or social disadvantage. In this form, the student is provided with the possibility of an introductory look into the practice of the studied field. The contents of the excursions consist of a visit to three different special educational facilities aimed at different target groups of people. In particular, content and organizational structure, application of methods and procedures within the special pedagogical process, material and technical equipment, documentation and team cooperation will be monitored. Through observation, the student also develops the necessary competences to make decisions about his profile during his studies, he becomes familiar with basic knowledge and information that will subsequently be discussed in the subjects of his study profile. Taking the field trip will provide the student with an initial introduction to various types of organizations and services. The student from the introductory excursion submits a diary with his own observations, evaluation and reflection. Reflection is an integral part of the introductory excursions, during which students will exchange mutual observations and then analyze them under the guidance of the practice methodology.
