Learning outcomes
In this course, students will learn more about the theoretical framework and possibilities of using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) in the context of education and support for people with complex communication needs (CCN). Course contains: " Communication - theory, models, types, components " Diagnostic process and aspects of using the optimal communication system; " AAC strategies, tools and assessments " Classification of AAC systems such as non aided/aided AAC systems " Specific communication systems for people with hearing impairments " Specific communication systems for people with visual impairments " Specific communication systems for people with physical disabilities " Specific communication systems for people with autism spectrum disorder " Specific communication systems for people with intelectual disabilities " Specific communication systems for people with multiple disabilities Practical training of notechnical and technical strategies belonging to AAC
