Course content
Work organization and technique at a Nuclear Medicine Clinic, Radiation Protection, Accidents, Overview of Ionizing Radiation Detectors Scintillation Detector, Evaluation Apparatus. Parameters of the Scintillator

Learning outcomes
The aim is to learn and master the rudiments of protection from ionizing radiation, managing minor accidents according to an emergency plan, decontamination. Organisation and management at a department of nuclear medicine. Overview of ionization detectors. Doing calculations of applied activity and volume of radiopharmaceuticals, making corrections of applied activity with regard to half-life and patient's weight, assisting in the application of radiopharmaceuticals. Carrying out static scintigraphy under supervision.
Students manage incidents according to the incident regulations, they check measuring devices, they carry out calculations of applied activity and the amount of radiopharmaceuticals, and under supervision they perform static scintigraphy.
