Lectures outline: Static renal examination DMSA Dynamic renal examination DTPA and MAG3 GIT examination - radionuclide examination of swallowing, detection of the Meckel diverticulum, GER Scintigraphic localisation of GIT bleeding, liver examination Scintigraphy of the thyroid gland, radioactive iodine uptake test Seminars outline: Overview of examinations in nuclear medicine Radiopharmaceutical requirements

Learning outcomes
The goal is to have an overview of the range of examinations in nuclear medicine and common radiopharmaceuticals. Static and dynamic renal examination, GIT and thyroid gland.
Students acquire theoretical knowledge about the principles of detection of ionizing radiation and individual examination procedures in nuclear medicine used in clinical practice.
