Course content
|
The content of the practice is the provision of basic nursing care by the nursing process method for patients with a focus on needs in the areas of health support, nutrition, excretion, activity, rest, perception - cognition, self-perception, relationships, sexuality, stress management, safety-protection, comfort, growth and development that are altered in connection with childbirth or gynecological disease and the needs of children of newborn age. As part of this individual clinical education, students improve their competence in providing nursing care at workplaces for the care of women and children in close connection with the subject of nursing care in gynecology and obstetrics. Clinical practice is led by mentors. The progress of practice is recorded in the Nursing Practice Record.

Learning outcomes
|
Practical teaching 5 includes clinical practice and practical teaching enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired by studying theoretical-practical disciplines in the conditions of a health service provider. It provides space for improving skills and work habits, leads students to independence, responsibility and teamwork.
The student can provide nursing care in the section of the gynecology-obstetrics department.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Visitation, Seminar Work
Defense of nursing documentation conducted according to the principles of the nursing process - documenting all phases of the nursing process for a selected patient at workplaces of care for women and newborns. Completion of clinical teaching and practice with assessment.
