Course content |
Assessment of individual condition and needs of clients / patients in clinical conditions and diseases associated with disorders and diseases of the reproductive organs in different age periods of life and women that interfere with health and quality of life of women. Diagnostic assessment of the state of the needs of the clients / patients, plan and evaluation of the care provided. The education of clients / patients and their families. Care of midwives or nurses in general conservative and operative treatment of gynecological conditions and disorders Pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. Diagnostic assessment of the state of the needs of the clients / patients according to the principles of the nursing process, implementation Alliance 3 N. Education of clients and their families. Taking care of a midwife for a woman in various stages of childbirth. The documentation management during childbirth. Psychological approach to the woman's and her entourage. Getting to know the latest trends in obstetrics and midwifery.

Learning outcomes |
The course introduces students to health care for women. Characterizes the clinical conditions of gynecological diseases for the nursing care - needs of patients / clients changed in connection with the disease, their etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and treatment. Further acquaints students with the diagnosis of pregnancy and preventive care for pregnant women and women with childbirth. Emphasis is placed on the differences of individual women's needs and their satisfaction by age, including healthy sexual life. Introduces differences multidisciplinary care in different forms of health care services.
The student will be able to: -apply individualized nursing care to women in clinical conditions and diseases that are related to disorders and diseases of the reproductive organs in different age periods of a woman's life and that disrupt a woman's health and quality of life -apply individualized nursing care to women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period - provide care according to the latest knowledge in nursing with regard to the use of EBP -apply an ethical and psychological approach to the woman and her family. |
Prerequisites |
The student orients himself in the anatomy of the female and male pelvis, the female and male genital system. They orientate themselves in the issues of the nursing process provided in the gynecology and obstetrics department.
