Course content
|
Skin morphology and function. Bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic skin diseases. Psoriasis and other papulosquamous disorders. Dermatitis and eczema. Occupational skin diseases in relation to dentistry. Bullous dermatoses. Skin and mucosal oral diseases. Skin naevi and premalignant tumours. Benign and malignant skin tumours. Paraneoplastic dermatoses. Sexually-transmitted diseases, prophylaxis of veneric diseases.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will acquire basic information about the most common skin disesases and sexually transmitted diseases with the accent on the orofacial area.
Students will be able to implement acquired knowledge to the diagnostic-therapeutic process to the extent of dentistry.

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam
Requirements for obtaining credit: 1. 100% attendance on all practical trainings 2. Iconography 3. 75% of the points in the PC test
