Course content
1. Property insurance - basic characteristics, personal property insurance. 2. Property insurance - business risk insurance, agriculture insurance. 3. Third party insurance. 4. Financial risk insurance. Legal protection insurance. Travel insurance. 5. Reinsurance - general characterization, segmentation. 6. Reinsurance - forms, fronting. Reinsurance pool. Coinsurance. 7. Insurance and reinsurance companies. 8. Insurance agents and brokers. Independent loss adjusters. 9. International institutions and insurance associations. Bank assurance. 10. Regulation of insurance. 11. Risk - management. 12. Financial backing of risks.

Learning outcomes
Gain fundamental knowledge of non-life insurance and reinsurance, identify insurance as a sector of economy, get acquainted with main aspects of regulation of insurance, and with fundamentals of risk-management.
