Course content
1. Personal finance - basic principles, selected problems in personal finance 2. Personal finance - financial market products 3. Basic characteristics of corporate finance and financial management 4. Cost and revenue categories 5. Profit or loss: factors affecting profitability, CVP analysis, break-even point 6. Calculations: types of calculations, calculation techniques 7. Financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement 8. Financial analysis 9. Short-term financial plan 10. Long-term financial plan 11. Investment decision making

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the content and principles of financial management. The course is focused on understanding the relationships between the asset and capital structures of an enterprise, on the importance and principles of financial analysis and on the content of financial statements of an enterprise. Part of the course is also devoted to basic principles and products in personal finance.
After completing the course, the student understands: - the principles of corporate finance and financial management - basic terms of financial management - the methodology of financial planning in the business sector - asset and capital structure of an enterprise - how to read corporate financial statements

Orientation in business economics and management.
