Course content
1. Human resources management - basic concepts, planning of number of employees, acquisition and choice of employees. 2. Human resources management - formation, changes and termination of the employment, care of employees, collective agreement, employee control. 3. Remuneration - calculation of basic salary, gross wages, gross income. 4. Remuneration - net income, wages, contract of services, personal income tax - §6 dependent activity. 5. Productive activity: production types, material, objective and time structure of the production process. 6. Sales activity: finished goods inventory, sales plan, sales activities. 7. Financing - costs, expenses, classification of costs, cost budget. 8. Financing - costing, kinds of costing, costing techniques. 9. Financing - revenues, classification of revenues, operating results of a firm, effects on the operating results, CVP (=Cost, Volume, Profit) analysis, critical point. 10. Marketing - corporate conceptions, their development, SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), target group. 11. Marketing - marketing instruments - MIX (4 P) - Product, Price, Promotion, Placement. 12. Management: basic concepts in control, decision-making, planning, organizing, human resources management, supervision - summary of the subject of Business Economics with references to the situations of a firm being discussed earlier and derivation of the basic concepts of management, requirements on a manager.

Oral exam, Student performance

Credit: to pass a test and obtain at least half of the possible points, to understand the topic and to be able to apply the knowledge in practice. Exam: to be able to explain the notions and categories of business economis and management, to prove the ability of application the knowledge in practice
