Course content
1) The history of the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs as a part of the economic and social history. 2) Sources for the history of the entrepreneurship and its potential. 3) The economic development in the Czech lands in the 19th century. 4) The economic development in the Czech lands in the first half of the 19th century. 5) Entrepreneurs as the social group the origin, the education, economic and social activities, the importance of the family bussines 6) The advances in a technology and inovations in the history of the entrepreneurship 7) The entrepreneurial culture and ethics 8) Significant entrepreneurs and their families

Learning outcomes
The seminar will focus on essential issues of the economic development of the Czech lands in the followed era especially the issue of the forming and the development of entrepreneurs as a social group. There will be an introduction of the basic professional literature and of the most important primal sources in classes. This course was established within the project of Inovation of Study of Historical Science at Palacký University, reg. no. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0025.
Student will gain an overview about the development of the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs in the czech lands in the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century. Student will be able to work with essential sources about the issue.
