Learning outcomes
European culture 1750 1815 focuses on the era at the end of the 18th century and towards the beginning of the 19th century. This period remains more or less in the background of the interest of historians and society but there are a lot of interesting topics whose analysis will help to understand this period better. Especially, since it was previously described mainly by the marxistic historiography. The course will be divided into two parts. The theoretical part will serve as an introduction to the topics and the practical part will be focused on presentations. This course was established within the project of Inovation of Study of Historical Science at Palacký University, reg. no. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0025.
The students will gain awareness of the development of the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. They will learn how to work with literature that is related to this period and they will improve their presentational skills while performing their assignments.
