Grand Duchy of Lithuania before 1569. 1. Introduction. The name, territory, and ethnicities. 2. Origins of the medieval Lithuanian state. (13th century) 3. Rise of the "Pagan empire". (1316-1377) 4. The course aims to present political, social, religious, cultural, and economic history of Grand Duchy of Lithuania from its beginnings to the Union of Lublin, introduce main sources and historiographical works on this topic.
