Course content
|
It is a part of the bachelor state exam of Archival Science which is oral and is examined by an examining board according to valid study directives. A student gets a question based on a previously known list, has time for a preparation and then answers it before an examining board. Questions are based on a valid archival act, reflect a valid organizational system of archives in the Czech republic and are related also to archives in other countries. They draw upon the history of this field of study, ask about significant personalities of this field, used terminology and reflect the work of an archivist as well as a relation among archives and similar institutes. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course, which is a part of the bachelor state exam of Archival Science, is to check the knowledge of the archival theory and practice of a future graduate. Questions are based on a valid archival act and reflect a valid organizational system of archives in the Czech republic and are related also to archives in other countries. They also draw upon the history of this field of study, ask about significant personalities of this field, used terminology and reflect the work of an archivist as well as a relation among archives and similar institutes. Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam
A successfull passing of this part of the bachelor state exam of Archival Science includes student´s explanation of a topic on a required level and his ability to answer questions asked by an examiner or other members of an examining board. HF
