Course content
|
Lectures: 1.-8. Chipped industry. Introduction to the terminology, principles and possiblities of stone chipping, cleavable stone raw materials. An overview of modern methods and history of the research. Technical, technological and morphological typology of the chipped industry. The work procedure of description. Data analysis. Documentation, conventional marks, principes of drawn and other documentation. Spatial models in analysis of chipped industry. The overveiw of the development of the chipped industry since Early Paleolit to the Late Iron Age. 9.- 13. Cutted industry. Introduction to terminology, the raw spectrum, process of manufacturing. Morfotypology, an overview of cutted artifacts in prehistoric times. The seminars: Practical training in methods for selecting and sorting of files SI and BI, according to technical, technological and typological parameters. Examples of analysis, databases, spatial models. Practice in documentation, draw documentation for expert publications. AD

Learning outcomes

Familiarization with stone artifact-chipped and cutted industry. Chipped industry- terminology, techniques of stone chipping, typology, description, data analysis, an overview of chipped artifacts principles of draw and other documentation. Cutted industry-introduction to the terminology, the raw spectrum, process of manufacturing, morfotypology, an overview of cutted artifacts in prehistoric period. AD
