Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with current linguistic issues, especially with the influence of so-called stylistic factors on the selection and organization of language resources, and to show differences in language usage due to different functional styles and communication spheres. Students will be encouraged to discern the most important aspects of communication situations and adapt them to the resulting form of communication. The lessons will be devoted to following areas: 1) The essence of language style, the tradition of functional styles; 2) Styling factors; 3) Stylistic value of expression means of individual language planes; 4) Functional styles - classification, resolution by function, characteristic of expression means.
